MONDAY TAROT MESSAGE FROM THE MUSE, 8/24/2020
Theme, 7 of Cups. Cups is the element of Water in the realm of heart, emotions, dreams, intuition and creativity. Seven is a number of action or thinking about taking action. Here, there are numerous actions, creative possibilities that may seem easier or more rewarding than the current project. Shiny object syndrome moves your focus and dilutes your creative energy. This week, be aware of where you are letting yourself be distracted from the work on your current project.
Focus, The Chariot. This Major Arcana card is often labeled as success with speed. But the success and the speed are available to the charioteer because she knows where she wants to go. And that direction is conveyed through the lightly held reins to the horses that pull the chariot, in spite of their tendency to want to hie off in different directions. Where is your focus this week? What is the long-term destination or goal for the current project or for your creative career?
Action, 5 of Swords. Swords is the element of Air in the realm of mind, thoughts, attitudes, beliefs and communication. Five is a number of challenge and conflict. Here the conflicts are the verbal battles you choose to engage in with yourself and others. You can handle one or two this week, but that’s it. Leave the rest for another time or, even better, decide it’s not necessary to engage at all. Better to save that mental energy for your work.
Gift, 4 of Swords. Swords again, the element of Air in the realm of the mind. Four is a number of stability. When you keep your creative focus, don’t let yourself get distracted, get clear on your long-term goals, and refuse to engage in verbal combat, you receive the gift of mental rest. Let yourself slow down, take a nap, meditate. With that rest, that pause comes the gifts of healing and renewal.
