Passing On Creative Wisdom

MONDAY TAROT MESSAGE FROM THE MUSE, 8/15/2022.

Theme, The Heirophant. This Major Arcana card addresses the importance of wisdom and knowledge and sharing them. The Hierophant insists that experienced creatives become mentors to those who are not as far along the creative path. This week, look for ways to learn from others, but more importantly, to keep passing on creative wisdom that you possess. Sometimes knowledge becomes more integrated when shared and taught to others. Knowledge is a precious resource for any creative. Receive it. Use it. Pass it on.

Focus, 5 of Wands. Wands is the element of Fire in the realm of spirit, creativity, career, and work. Five in the tarot is a point of conflict or challenge. For the Hierophant, it’s the challenge of learning and using the knowledge and wisdom well. Here, the challenge or conflict is one of competition. This can be viewed negatively as having to prove oneself or it can be viewed positively as an opportunity to test one’s abilities, discovering strengths and weaknesses. What are your creative strengths? How can you improve them? What are your creative weaknesses? Do you need to strengthen them or hire someone else for those aspects so you can focus on creating? How will teaching others help?

Action, The High Priestess. This Major Arcana card is the other side of wisdom and knowledge. This is the knowledge or wisdom that comes from within, from the unconscious. This is divine intuition. The High Priestess sits at the threshold between the conscious and unconscious, pulling back the curtains on those deep mysteries of creative inspiration and illumination. She helps you move back and forth between the light and dark, the conscious and unconscious, and encourages you to see deeper, trust your intuition, and use those insights and revelations for you creative work.

Gift, 4 of Swords. Swords is the element of Air in the realm of mind, thoughts, attitudes, beliefs and communication. Four is a number of stability. This week, look for opportunities to give your mind a rest after all the learning and teaching. Give yourself time to meditate or to catch a nap or sleep in. Resting the mind allows you to receive dreams, inspiration and healing. Relax. Daydream.
