“The ultimate call of the Muses in contemporary life is to live a creative and authentic life.” Angeles Arrien

Be Patient with Your Creative Process and Project

MONDAY TAROT MESSAGE FROM THE MUSE, 3/1/2021

Theme, 7 of Coins. Coins is the element of Earth in the realm of anything physical, home, health, wealth, anything you can touch, taste, or feel. Seven is a number of action or the contemplation of it. Here the farmer stands observing and waiting for the grain and fruit to ripen. Patience is required. This week, be patient with your creative process and project. Don’t try to rush it or skip steps in an effort to reach “The End” sooner. With patience, the work grows and ripens until that perfect moment of harvest.

Focus, 5 of Cups. Cups is the element of Water in the realm of heart, emotions, dreams, intuition and creativity. Five in the tarot is a point of conflict and challenge. After several disappointments, rejections, or criticisms, the questions are, “Will you take the risk to put your work out into the world? Will you even risk manifesting those two inspired ideas you have? Will you stand up and step out? Or will you keep your back against the wall, playing it safe?”

Action, The Fool. This Major Arcana card answers the questions of the card before it. The Fool steps out, takes a risk and makes the leap, trusting instinct and intuition to lead them on the journey, the adventure before them. This week, put aside your hurts and fears, and take the leap into your creativity. You can do it, especially if you do it with a sense of play.

Gift, 3 of Coins. Coins again, framing this week’s reading, a reminder that the practical steps make a difference, no matter how small. Three is a number of creativity, which is obvious with this craftsman at the workbench, carefully etching detail and design into the Coin, and preparing it for the inlay of another gemstone. Your gift this week, if you’ll be patient with the creative process and project, and if you’ll take the risk, is focused time in your creative space with your work, and an opportunity to really be with the work, patiently.
