Time for Powerful Mindset Shifts

MONDAY’S TAROT MESSAGE FROM THE MUSE, 5/1/17.

Theme, The Hanging Man. A Major Arcana card, here you see the Fool hanging upside down. Below him, the hourglass is turned sideways. Time has stopped. The water and mirror below him offer opportunities for new perspectives and reflection while the Full Moon offers new insights. This week, make time and space for reflecting on your work and creative process in order to make powerful mindset shifts.

8 of Swords. Swords is the element of Air in the realm of mind, thoughts, attitudes, beliefs and communication. Eight is a number of movement. Here the movement necessary is one of freeing one’s self from limiting beliefs and defeating self chatter. Though the woman looks bound up and caught, a hand is free, free to grab a sword and cut herself loose. It is her own beliefs and Jupiter’s ability to make things bigger that keep her from moving out of the current situation. Your focus this week is on how do your beliefs and inner critic hold you back? And what action do you need to take to change the situation?

The Tower. This Major Arcana card is about the shake up and break down of old structures, old identities, old ways of being and doing. Scary? Yes. Necessary? Probably. This card is in direct response to the Focus card. You are to act this week to make some powerful changes in what you believe about your creative work, and perhaps, even how you approach your work.

Gift, 5 of Swords. As with the Focus card, this is not a happy looking card. A battle has been waged. The soldier looks like he’s won since he carries those five swords. But has he won the battle only to lose the war? The gift this week is the opportunity to stop the inner battles. The gift is to let go of the battle and receive a gift of new confidence in yourself and your creative work.
