MONDAY’S TAROT MESSAGE FROM THE MUSE, 11/20/17
Theme, 10 of Swords. Swords is the element of Air in the realm of mind, thoughts, attitudes, beliefs and communication…sometimes too much communication. As in the case of this poor guy, who seems to be attacked from all sides. Ten is a number of abundance in the element. Creatives can take just so much criticism before it halts them in their tracks. This week, decide before it happens how you will respond to negative feedback. Are you going to let it stop you, or will you let it inform and motivate you? It’s up to you.
Focus, The Hermit. This Major Arcana card asks you, “Do you need time this week for silence and solitude in order to gain clarity about your creative path?” Time alone in silence is hard to come by in our current culture but it is in solitude and silence that we more often hear the voice of our Muses. Look for opportunities this week to spend time alone. You may also gain clarity on how to deal with that negative feedback or criticism.
Action, Judgment. Another Major Arcana card, this one urges you to action with a higher purpose, a new beginning that has a deeper dimension. After dealing with negative feedback, then taking time for silence and solitude, you may discover this week, that your work has a deeper dimension to it, that you are being called to answer a vision for your work. You are encouraged to answer it.
Gift, 8 of Swords. Although it may not look like a gift, this Swords card is one of initiation into a new understanding and growth (Jupiter) in your work. Remember, Swords has to do with the mind and communication, both with self and others. Eight in the tarot is about movement, or in this case, the lack of. If you do the work of the first three cards, then you’ll find yourself in a place where you can remove the blindfold to what has been creatively blocking you, and free yourself to do that work you’ve been called to do.
