MONDAY TAROT MESSAGE FROM THE MUSE, 12/12/2022
Theme, Hanging Man. This Major Arcana card suggests a suspension—of self, time, action—in order to gain new insights and perspectives, in order to re-center and re-align yourself with your purpose and direction. This week, in the midst of holiday chaos and craziness, make time for the pause that refreshes your creativity and gives new insight and appreciation for the magical moments of this season. When you don’t know whether you are coming or going, upright or upside down, pause and re-center yourself to rediscover your path.
Focus, Ace of Swords. Swords is the element of Air in the realm of mind, thoughts, attitudes, beliefs and communications. The Ace holds all the potential of the suit and signifies new beginnings. As you make plans for new creative projects and perhaps layout goals for the new year, are you being honest with yourself and maintaining some objectivity about what is possible and achievable? Or, are you setting goals and making plans based on wishing and hoping and thereby undermining the possibilities for success? It’s good to dream, but how are you laying out the steps to make that dream real starting where you are now?
Action, Justice. This second Major Arcana card in this week’s reading comes just before the Hanging Man in the tarot deck. It calls for you to be aware of how you are maintaining balance within your creative work, and between your creative work and the other aspects of your life. Every action has a reaction or consequence, so through this week and as you plan for the year ahead, know that it is important to make choices that reflect the honest insights from that pause that refreshes and from the objectivity you are using with that Ace of Swords. This is the week to make wise choices for yourself that allow you to keep your balance and keep creating.
Gift, 7 of Wands. Wands is the element of Fire in the realm of spirit, creativity, career and work. Seven is a number of contemplating action. Here, in the place of gift, this card offers confidence and a resolute spirit that can face and overcome challenges that seem difficult. It helps to also remember how far you’ve come in your creative work and along your path. In the position of gift, this card reminds you to accept and acknowledge the work and the journey so that others can’t take that from you.
