She encourages you to listen to that inner voice, your Muse, if you will, and do not let distractions and disturbances shut it out. In all things, especially your creativity, choose tenderness and empathy.

Focus, 2 of Swords. Swords is the element of Air in the realm of mind, thoughts, attitudes, beliefs and communication. Two is a number of choice, decisions, balance and partnership. Here, there is a reinforcement of the High Priestess’s message to pay attention to your intuition. Are you doing too much weighing up of pros and cons on a creative concern rather than trusting your gut? Are you determined to find the “right” answer or choice rather than trusting yourself and knowing that whatever you choose works in your favor to help you grow as a creative? Is this back and forth the reason for feeling blocked in your creative work right now?

Swords again, and this time the Ten which suggests that you are nearing the end of a project or a stage in the project but because of others criticisms or critiques or even your own self-doubt or self-pity, you are putting off doing the last bit of work that needs to be done as a way of avoiding getting the work out into the marketplace. This is where perfection and perfectionism gets in the way. “Done is better than perfect.” Take action and finish it.

This is the third two in the reading and suggests that this week will center on decisions and balance.
