MONDAY TAROT MESSAGE FROM THE MUSE, 9-2-24
Theme, The Devil. This Major Arcana card appears at the beginning of the last third of the Fool’s journey through the 21 cards. The Devil demands honesty which means confronting and acknowledging what binds you or your creative work. In refusing to look at certain aspects of your work, you could be missing out on the very element that might fire your imagination and passion. There is no light without dark in creative work. It is the contrast and conflict that gives power to the work. Don’t ignore that aspect in your project or your creative path, and free yourself.
Focus, 2 of Coins. Coins is the element of Earth in the realm of home, health, wealth, anything physical. Two is a number of choice, decision, partnership, balance. What are you focused on in your current creative work? Are you forgetting about or ignoring the other aspect, perhaps the financial aspect of your work. Are you refusing to look at it? If you refuse to look at what might be physically challenging you, are you draining energy and passion away from your work? Is your attitude making it difficult to maintain your balance and flexibility? What will happen if you shift your focus even briefly?
Action, 3 of Swords. Swords is the element of Air in the realm of mind, thoughts, attitudes, beliefs and communication. Three is a dynamic number of creation, growth, abundance. While sorrow and disappointment, especially around your work can feel immobilizing, whatever has caused this mindset can be used to move forward instead of staying stuck. The Devil urges you to look at the rejection or other event and use it to propel you to the next stage. Use logic to determine next steps to move past and beyond. It’s too early in the process to give up now.
Gift, The Chariot. This Major Arcana card brings you the gift of success and forward momentum, just when the cards above made you feel stuck and unable to move forward. But if you acknowledge what you’ve refused to see, if you look at practical considerations, let go of disappointment and rejection, you’ll find that suddenly momentum and Muse arrive to pick up you and your work and carry you forward. Enjoy the ride.
